It helps a great deal to say

  • which device and which system version;
  • what you expected to happen and what happened;
  • whether iCloud sync is on.

Questions that come up

Do my notes go to a server of yours?

No. They stay on your device. If you turn sync on, they are kept in your own iCloud, under your Apple Account — we have no access to that.

I forgot the vault password. How do I recover it?

You cannot. The vault's key is derived from your password and never leaves the device, and that is what makes a vault a vault. The app says so before the password is created.

I bought Pro and changed devices.

Open the app's settings, tap Tito Notes Pro and use Restore purchases. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, and Family Sharing is enabled — anyone in your family group gets Pro without buying again.

Does version history appear on my other devices?

No. Versions are files kept on the device where the note was written, and they do not travel through iCloud. Restoring a version, on the other hand, changes the note on every device, because what travels is the note.

The transcript did not appear.

Transcription happens on the device and depends on the language being installed there. If the language model is not present the block simply has no transcript — and nothing is sent away to make up for it.
